Norine Mae Morrell

Norine Mae Morrell (nee Krueger) of West Bend passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at The Fields in West Bend.

She was born on June 5, 1922 to Arthur and Ida (nee Schoenfeld) Krueger in Wausau, Wis.

Norine was raised in Ironwood, Mich. and graduated from Gogebic Junior College. She moved to Milwaukee and worked for Allis Chalmers as a secretary.

She married John on Oct. 8, 1949 and became a dedicated homemaker to five children. Norine enjoyed cooking, picnics, knitting, and lawn bowling. In recent years, at The Fields, she greatly enjoyed playing bingo, cards, bowling tournaments on the Wii, horse races, and board games. She was also a Wisconsin sports fan, enjoying the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Norine is survived by her children, Raymond (Barbara), Cathleen Lambries, Patricia Morrell, Christine (John) Brannigan, Maureen (Keith) Miller and seven grandchildren; one sister-inlaw Eileen Krueger, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two siblings.

The funeral service for Norine will be 11 a.m. Monday Feb. 7 at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of The Chimes (Main Building 13235 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield). Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made out to the family who will designate a specific memorial in Norine's name at The Fields Assisted Living Center in West Bend.

The family would like to extend a special "thank-you" to the staff and residents at The Fields Assisted Living Center, Dr. Cornelius and Dr. Arshad and their staff.
