Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Pfeiffer, 73

I look up to the sky, not ready yet to say goodbye …
Elizabeth "Liz" Pfeiffer, 73, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5,
2011.
She was born Oct. 22, 1937, in Vrbica, Croatia. She came to the United
States in 1952 and later married Michael on May 7, 1960, in Milwaukee.
They celebrated their 50th anniversary last year. Liz retired from JC
Penney Catalog Center after many years of loyal service. She enjoyed
spending time with her family and friends. She took great pride in being a
member of the Schwabenhof Frauengruppe, the Donauschwaben Club and the
Senior Club. Liz’s greatest passion was spending time with her
grandchildren, and she was a wonderful influence on their lives. She is
known to them as "Nice Ma" and the love they shared is beyond
compare.
Liz is survived by her daughter, Sue (Bob) Ulickey;
and son, Rob (Dawn) Pfeiffer; grandchildren, Josh and Michael Ulickey and
Katy Pfeiffer. Further survived by siblings, Martin (Maria) Thomann, Anna
(the late Paul) Stahl and John (Mary Ann) Birmily. Further survived by
sisters- and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives
and many friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Josef and
Magdalena Thomann, and Adam Birmily; and her husband, Michael.
A Liturgy of the Word will be at 9:30 a.m. on
Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend with
the Rev. Kenneth Mich presiding. Entombment will take place at Washington
County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday,
Feb. 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with continued visitation on Thursday, Feb.
10, from 9 a.m. until time of service.
