Carol A. Longoria, 64


Carol A. (nee Zimmerman) Longoria, 64, of Sheboygan Falls, went home to her Lord and Savior Saturday morning, Feb. 12, 2011 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center from complications following surgery.

Carol was born Oct. 28, 1946 in Sheboygan to Adolph and Anna (nee Biederwolf) Zimmerman. She was a graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School, class of 1964, and received her bachelor's degree from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc.

For a number of years she worked at Vollrath Co., after which she worked at the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association. Currently she was employed at Kohl's Department Store and State Farm Insurance.

Carol was a faithful member of Praise Fellowship.

She volunteered countless hours at the Sheboygan Kidney Foundation and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

On Oct. 28, 1995 Carol married Santiago "Jimmy" Longoria. He preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1996.

Carol is survived by one sister, Betty Zimmerman of Sheboygan Falls; three brothers, Adolph "Mickey" (Jeanie) Zimmerman of Sheboygan, William (Debbie) Zimmerman of Plymouth, and Wally (Penny) Zimmerman of West Bend; one sister-in-law, Betty Bunge of Plymouth; nieces and nephews, Linda (Dan) Gruenke, Robert (Amanda) Zimmerman, Tracy Zimmerman, Brian (Shannon) Zimmerman, Todd (fiancée Megan Berg) Zimmerman, Courtney and Stephanie Zimmerman; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Zimmerman and Stephen Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at Ballhorn Chapels. The Rev. Chuck Apple, Pastor of Praise Fellowship will be the officiant. A time of visitation and support will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Carol's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ganju and his staff for their care and concern over the years.

Carol will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and her great faith in the Lord.
