Elmer C. Gauger, 89

    Elmer C. Gauger, 89, of the Town of Trenton passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011.
    Elmer was born on July 21, 1921 to Emil and Lisetta (nee Dettmann). He married Evelyn Kleman on June 16, 1951 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Jackson. After his marriage to Evelyn, the couple farmed together all their married life. Elmer was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and also served his country during WWII.
    Elmer is survived by his children Roland Gauger of the Town of Trenton, Frederick (Gail) Gauger of the village of Jackson, Laura Gauger of Duluth, MN, and Linda Gauger of West Bend; grandchildren Timothy, Jonah, Greta, Tessa, Jordan, and Benjamin. He is further survived by his brothers Herbert of West Bend and Harold (Doris) of the Town of Trenton and one brother-in-law Raymond (Della) Kleman of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Elmer is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, parents, brothers Ruben (Ada) and Arnold Gauger, one sister Meta (Dan) Infalt, and three sister-in-laws Lorraine Gauger, Esther (Reinhard) Beimborn, and Mabel (Herbert) Strege.
    A funeral service for Elmer will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 1268 Pleasant Valley Rd., in the Town of Jackson) with the Rev. Kenneth Mellon presiding. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the church only on Saturday, Feb. 19. Interment will take place following the service at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.
