Mary A. Becker

Mary A. Becker (nee Suckow), 82, of West Bend, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Cedar Community Care Center.

She was born Sept. 8, 1928, to Clarence and Lorraine Suckow in the town of Trenton. On Jan. 14, 1950, she married Allen T. Becker of the town of Jackson.

Mary graduated from West Bend High School at the age of 16. She worked at the West Bend Company, West Bend Mutual Insurance Company and for more than 30 years at the Wisconsin Gas Company (now WE Energies) in West Bend. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in West Bend and at her Shawano lake home. During the past 13 years, she lived at Cedar Ridge and loved her Ridge friends and activities. She was always ready to share a joke with family and friends. Mary was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Diane Knutson (Chris Faulhaber); grandsons, Michael Knutson (fiancée, Ashley Lopina), Jason Knutson; former son-in-law, Gordon Knutson (Margie); step grandchildren, Julie Faulhaber (Steve Bossert) and Chris Faulhaber III. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Straub; brothers in-law, Robert (LaVerne) Becker, and Armand (Shirley) Becker; sister-in-law, Arlene Schneider, plus loving nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Allen "Buddy" Becker; sister, Betty Liatses; sisters-in-law, Margaret Becker and Dorothy Smith; and brothers-in-law, Leroy Becker, Robert Smith, Cal Schneider and Harold Straub.

The Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N 7th Ave., in West Bend with the Rev. David Schoob presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park.
