Myron E. Schmidt
Myron E. Schmidt, 91, of West Bend, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, at
the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
Myron was born July 22, 1919, in Saukville to the late Hugo and Lillie
(nee Schael) Schmidt. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1938.
In 1941 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Kortendick. Mary Ann
preceded him in death in 1955. He was then united in marriage to Ruth
Raloff until her death in 2005.
For several years, Myron owned and operated the Schmidt Meat Market in
West Bend and was later employed at Serigraph Sales until the time of
his retirement.
Myron will always be remembered for his love of family, travel,
photography and his gentle kindness and wonderful sense of humor.
Myron will be missed by his children, Tom (Sharyn) Schmidt of Collbran,
Colo., Jane Schmidt of Denver, Colo., and Ruth Schloemer of West Bend.
He is further survived by his grandchildren, Shelley (Geoff) Watters of
Pewaukee, Steven (Brandy) Schmidt of Parnell, Iowa, Julie (Ralph) Lassa
of West Brooklyn, Ill., and Ben (Kelly) Schloemer of West Bend. He also
leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Keelin Watters, Brandon Schmidt,
Jenna, Claire and Wyatt Lassa and Eva Schloemer.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 5, at noon at Trinity
Lutheran Church in West Bend with the Rev. David Schoob officiating.
Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will
be Wednesday, at the church only from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
