Carol T. Fischer


Carol T. Fischer (nee Timm) passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2010, with family at her side.

She was born in Milwaukee on May 11, 1925. Daughter of the late Arthur and Anita (nee Neeb) Timm. Beloved wife of the late Lee A. Fischer Sr. for 61 years. Loving and devoted mother of Nancy (Norbert) Goodreau, Lee (Juliann), Lynn (Ron Janonis), Karen (Joseph) Thomas and Tim (Sharon). Proud grandmother of Pat (Michele) Goodreau, Kris (Jolene) Goodreau. Jason (Kelly, Beth (Tom) Carignan, Sara Janonis, Stephen and TJ. Great-grandmother of Amber, Austin, Aidan, Hunter, Nathan and Logan. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carol was happiest surrounded by her large family who she loved dearly. She had a lifelong passion for reading, knitting and baking for her beloved family. She retired after a successful career in retail management at Gimbels and Marshall Fields. Carol and Lee moved to Florida in 1989 where she enjoyed the ocean, sunshine and shelling on the beaches.

Carol loved Lee and was very proud of their 61 years of marriage. She joined him in heaven just a few short months after his passing. Carol (Mom) will be dearly missed but always remembered.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 6, from 9 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, N74 W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls. Private burial for Carol and Lee will take place on Friday, Jan. 7, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Memorials for Carol to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Community Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
