Marilyn
S. Endlich (nee Wiedmeyer), 68, passed away at the Kathy Hospice on
Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, following a long and courageous battle with
multiple sclerosis.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1942, in West Bend, to Vincent and Marguerite
(nee Justinger) Wiedmeyer. She attended Polk Dairy and Holy Angels grade
schools. She graduated from West Bend High School in 1960. She attended
her 50th class reunion in July 2010.
Marilyn married Edward C. Endlich Jr. on Oct. 24, 1964, at Holy Angels
Catholic Church in West Bend. Marilyn’s first job was at Heidel’s
Restaurant in Jackson. She also worked at Sentry Foods in West Bend with
her best friend, Karen. She was the delicatessen manager at Red Owl
Foods for many years. She worked in the accounting department at West
Bend Mutual, where she made many lasting friendships.
Marilyn loved cooking, reading and listening to country music. Ed and
she loved taking family and friends to the Green Bay Packer football
games, to which they had season tickets. She loved her two grandchildren
more than anything. She enjoyed seeing her “Little Stars” in the soccer
games, concerts and plays.
Marilyn was a member of New Hope U.C.C. Church in Jackson. She
participated in the yearly MS walk with her team known as “Marilyn’s
Walkers.”
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 46 years, Edward; two sons, Dean
(Julie) and Doug (Amy); and her grandchildren, Kyle and Mackenzie. She
is further survived by her two sisters, Geri (Dave) Gajafsky of Holmen
and Lynette (Mark) Fochs of Slinger; three brothers Vincent Jr. (Freda)
Wiedmeyer of Sussex, Steven (Theresa) Wiedmeyer of Kohlsville, and Lee
(Norma) Wiedmeyer of Branson, Mo.; sister-in-law, Marion Endlich of West
Bend; brothers-in-law, Floyd (Joyce) Endlich of West Bend and Alfred
(Esther) Endlich of Hartford; her Godmother, Bernadine Kuehl of
Milwaukee; aunts, Clarinda Jaeger of Fond du Lac and Therese Justinger
of West Bend; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear
friends.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Marguerite
Wiedmeyer; and her in-laws, Edward and Viola Endlich.
A funeral service for Marilyn will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5,
2011, at New Hope United Church of Christ, 4360 Jackson Drive, Jackson,
with the Rev. James Hill presiding. Visitation will be at the church
only on Wednesday, Jan. 5, from 3 p.m. until time of service. Private
entombment will be at Washington County Memorial Park.
