LeRoy F. Oestreicher

LeRoy F. Oestreicher, 70, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at his residence.

LeRoy was born on Oct. 17, 1940, in Milwaukee to Francis and Sybilla (nee Abler) Oestreicher. In his early years, he served as a proud member of the U.S. Army. LeRoy was also bricklayer by trade and a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union of America Local No. 8. LeRoy was also very mechanically inclined. Not only did he serve as a mechanic for Barry Trucking in Milwaukee for many years as a part of the Local No. 200 Union, he was also a crane operator for V. Olson construction. LeRoy also enjoyed his time as a dedicated pit crew manager for Joe Mueller Team at the Slinger Speedway. He was always keeping busy and he could surely fix anything. LeRoy was an avid country music and oldies fan and a true outdoors man. He loved to fish, camp, snowmobile and never complained about the cold Wisconsin weather.

LeRoy is survived by his daughters, Kim Chappie and Jeannine (Bill) Welch; grandchildren, Corey and Anthony Chappie, Autumn Spence, and Sebastian, Davian, Divine and Billy Welch. He is further survived by his brother, Ronald Oestreicher; sister, Rita (Ben) Karger; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
