Robert L. Konitzer Sr., 83

Robert L. Konitzer Sr., 83, of Milwaukee, formerly of West Bend, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010.

Robert was born in Thiensville on June 30, 1927. He lived in West Bend for 18 years. He delivered milk for Golden Guernsey in the West Bend area in the 1960s and also sold travel trailers for Scenic Traveler and cars for Braeger Chevrolet in the 1970s. He also owned a maid cleaning service in Milwaukee. Robert enjoyed playing cards and cherished the company of his dogs late in life.

He was the loving husband of Joanne (nee Opsahl); loving dad of Steven (Karen), Debbie (Tom Erickson) Treppish, Diane (Jim) Bingen, Kurt (Cindy), Linda (Bob) Gosewehr, Gail (Bob) Bonenfant and Bob Jr. (Kristine) Konitzer; dear brother of Gertrude Lorenz and William Konitzer; brother-in-law of Bruce (Violet) Opsahl, Erhard (Carla) Opsahl and Caroline (Ken) Schultz. Grandpa was loved and will be remembered by is 45 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Monday, Jan. 3, at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfeild, from 10 a.m. to noon.

A funeral service was celebrated at noon. Burial followed with full military honors.
