Monica L. Stefanich, 87
Monica L. Stefanich (nee Fitzpatrick), 87, of Slinger, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at her residence.
Monica was born on March 17, 1923 to Fred and Marion (nee Nulty) Fitzpatrick in Detroit, Mich. She was raised in Chippewa Falls, Wis. and graduated from Holcombe High School before she moved to Milwaukee. Monica was a waitress when she met her husband, Albert Stefanich. After Albert retired, they moved back to Black River Falls, then to Random Lake and after Albert died, Monica moved to Slinger. She loved to read, paint and especially spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Monica is survived by her children David (Carol) of Milwaukee, Donald (Lois) of Random Lake, Mary Ann Brylow of Muskego, Allen (Dawn) of West Bend, and Greg (Mary) of Hubertus; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother-in-law Victor Sneller of Waukegan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert, sister Catherine Fitzpatrick, brother-in-law Rudy (Ester) Stefanich and sister-in-law Mae Sneller.
A Memorial Mass will be noon on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Slinger with Father Richard Stoffel presiding. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Monday, Jan. 10 .
