Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Wisconsin Memorial Park for Roy V. Eberhardt, who died Dec. 12, 2010, at the age of 93. Pastor Brent Halverson of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg was the officiate. Entombment was private at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

Roy was born on April 21, 1917, in Biron, the son of George and Edith (nee Hjerstedt) Eberhardt. Roy was united in marriage to Ellen Annette Freedlund on Sept. 7, 1940, in Iowa. They were blessed with three children. Roy was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army for his service in the South Pacific. He was a proud veteran.
Roy worked for 42 years as a supervisor for the Bell System. Roy and Ellen have been members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg for 40 years.
Roy is survived by his wife, Ellen, of 70 years, who was also his best friend for 75 years; children, Barbara (Ron) Ziebell, Lee Eberhardt and Peggy Eberhardt; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many cousins and dear friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Joyce Bayer; and brother, Earl (Myrtle) Eberhardt.
Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory in Cedarburg has served the family.
