Philip J. ‘Phil’ Rogne

Philip J. "Phil" Rogne, 63, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011.

Phil was born on Nov. 17, 1947, to Carl and Ella (nee Schmidt) Rogne. He married Karen (nee Hefter) on Sept. 25, 1994. Phil was the owner of Phil’s Garage in Kewaskum for more than 20 years and was one of the original "Gear Heads." He had a passion for classic and muscle cars along with helping his friends rebuild them. Phil was known for his quick wit, quirky smile and the ability to fix anything. He loved his cats, his kids, his family and his wife.

Phil is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Lisa (Brian) Schneider, Karla (Richard) Zommers, Karmen (Matt) Peil and Kristina (Michael) Turznik; and stepson, Matthew Renner. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Amanda, Gina, Ryan, Samantha, Alex, Joseph and Arwen; great-grandchildren, Cole, Lauren and Ava; mother-in -law, Elayne Hefter; sisters, Alice (the late Orville) Schaueble, Lois Landvatter, Ruth (Edwin) Opliger and Wendy (Mark) Hoefert; brothers, Carl Rogne and Ted (Janice) Rogne; sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Kay" Rogne; brothers in-law, Wayne (Pat) Hefter and Daniel (Chris) Hefter; other relatives and many friends.

Phil is preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; sister, June Sonnabend; and father-inlaw, Joseph Hefter.

A funeral service will be at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 4 p.m. until time of service.
