Paul E. Hoeft
Sr., 89
Paul E. Hoeft Sr., 89, of Crooked Lake, passed away on Thursday, Jan.
20, 2011, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1921, in the town of Scott, the son of the late
Ernst and Gesiene (Stoehr) Hoeft. Paul served his country in the U. S.
Navy during World War II. On Oct. 31, 1959, he was united in marriage to
Gladys D'Amico. The couple owned and operated Hoeft's Resort and
Camp-ground for 46 years. Gladys preceded Paul in death on Oct. 9, 2004.
Those Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory include five children,
Paula (Jody) Merkel of West Bend, Vicky (Jeff) Bastian of Jackson, Diana
(Al) Dominguez of Brown Deer, Paul (Kris) Hoeft Jr. of Crooked Lake and
Holly Scannell of West Bend; 10 grandchildren: Nicole (Josh) and Megan
Merkel, Tyler and Katie Bastian, Hailey and Drew Dominguez, Kallie and
Kyle Hoeft, Hunter and Lily Scannell; three brothers: Robert Hoeft and
Walter Hoeft both of West Bend and William (Betsy) Hoeft of Green Bay; a
sister: Marie Streubing of Plymouth; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by three
brothers: Hugo, Arthur and August “Augie” Hoeft.
Funeral services for Paul will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 24,
2011, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. The Rev. Kurt Ziemann will
officiate. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Lutheran Memorial
Park in Kewaskum.
Relatives and friends may call at 4 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home
until the time of services.
