Walter R. Jr.
Sierocuk, 64
Born
on Aug. 14, 1946, Walter R. Sierocuk Jr., also known as Wal, was called
to join his mother and father in Heaven on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011. He
was the beloved son of the late Walter and Lucille Sierocuk, Sr.;
dearest brother of two sisters, Diane and Darlene; fond brother-in-law
of James Rugg and Herbert Martin Jr.; and favorite uncle to many nieces
and nephews, whom he treated as if they were his own children. He will
be greatly missed by Guy (Ike), Jay (Spike), and Candi (Rosebud), who
thought of him as a second father.
Walter was employed at Miller Brewery for over 25 years before retiring
in order to do the things he loved. He leaves behind his cherished
horse, Button, whom he cared for deeply. Wal always felt most at home in
the serenity of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and
hiking in the northern woods of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. His
family's fondest memories are of the times they spent up north with him,
watching him teach his nieces and nephews the beauty of the wilderness.
Those memories will forever stay in his family's hearts.
For anyone who knew Walter and would like to pay their respects, please
join us at Becker Ritter Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 24. Visitation
will be held at 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m.
“So whether it's standing on a mountain top Or collecting rocks by the
beach, The memories I see when I close my eyes, They are all of you with
me.”
