Ralph S. Robel
Ralph S. Robel, 96, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born on April 29, 1915 in St. Paul, Minn. to Joseph and Francis (nee Stauber) Robel. He was united in marriage to Estelle Brierton on May 26, 1937.
Ralph retired from the Chrysler Corporation in 1977.
He enjoyed reading, and he and Estelle traveled to every state, including Hawaii and Alaska. For the past year Ralph resided at the Gardens of Hartford and used his scooter to get around and enjoyed visiting with the residents.
Ralph is survived by eight children Robert (Evie) of Oconomowoc, Ron (Lorry) of Hartford, Jim (fiancée Judy) of Cameron, Wis. Patty (Chip) Snyder of Mapleton, Wis., Jeanne (Dave) Reimer of Hartford, Cathy (Jerry) Grady of Phelps, Wis., Judy (John) Lemke of Hartford, and Karen (Pat) Jacobosky of Watertown, Wis.; 25 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 16
great-great-grandchildren; and his sisters-in-law Mary Robel of Hartford and Jane Bynum of Albuquerque, N.M.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Estelle in 2002, his son Ralph Jr. "Rusty" in 1969, his daughter Sherry in 2010, his daughter-in-law Jean in 2006, his brothers Al, Don, Earl, Em and his sister Irene Dais.
Mass of Christian burial for Ralph will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. Therese Chapel, Holy Hill, 1515 Carmel Road, Hubertus, with the Rev. Fred Alexander, OCD officiating.
Visitation will be at St. Therese Chapel on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m.
Interment at St. Kilian Cemetery in Hartford.
