Flora G. Orsina, 97


Mrs. Flora G. Orsina, of Saukville passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake, just short of her 98th birthday.

She was born Aug. 15, 1913. in Bennington, Vt., the daughter of Millard and Anna Knapp Going. In December of 1930, she married Stephen Orsina in Clinton, Conn. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Orsina worked as a nurse in Miami and for several months in Puerto Rico while visiting her son. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, reading and making various crafts.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard (Ellen) of Saukville and Robert (Barbara) of Ridgeway, Va.; three grandchildren, Michael (Miriam) Orsina of Woodstock, Ga., Dominique (David) Carlson of Eau Claire and Christopher Orsina of Saukville; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Going of Crommwell, Conn.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Private family services were held. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
