Dorothy H. Seidensticker, (nee Schoenbeck), 98, of West Bend, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center, West Bend.

She was born June 9, 1913 in West Bend to the late Alvin and Elsie (nee Scheunemann) Schoenbeck. Dorothy was united in marriage to Arnold H. Seidensticker on July 17, 1937 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Jackson. Arnold passed away Dec. 16, 1999.

Dorothy was a very active member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and the Ladies Guild. She was also known of her cooking and baking.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Lois) Seidensticker of West Bend; seven grandchildren, Mark (Cheryl) Seidensticker, Scott Seidensticker, Tammy Sheffert, Lisa (Michael) Jesse, Jeff (Laura) Seidensticker, James (Amy) Seidensticker, Sara (Scott) Huntington; 13 great-grandchildren; a daughter in-law, Ardy Seidensticker of Florida; a brother-in-law, Herbert Gauger of Newburg; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Raymond Seidensticker, and a sister, Lorraine Gauger.

A memorial service in remembrance of Dorothy will be held on Thursday, July 7, at 6:30 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 809 S. 6th Ave., West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice are appreciated.
