Virginia ‘Ginny’ Ahles, 84


Virginia ‘Ginny’ Ahles, 84, of Harshaw, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at her residence under home hospice care.

Ginny was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Tomahawk, the daughter of Louis and Gertrude (nee Splittstoezer) Crass.

She married Otto Ahles on July 22, 1951, in Rhinelander; he passed away June 30, 2002.

In her younger years, Ginny was employed at The Dime Store, and Nick and Sons Casket Factory in Tomahawk.

She was also a good homemaker who lived for her family, and enjoyed making chocolate chip cookies.

Survivors include: daughter Nancy Ahles of Las Vegas; sons Lonny (Bev) Crass of Rhinelander, Mick (Tammy) Ahles of Harshaw, KC (Carol) Ahles of Tomahawk; and brothers James (Lorraine) Crass of Tomahawk and Roger (Marge) Crass of West Bend.

Ginny is further survived by four grandchildren: Lon (Chris) Crass, Jr., Jackie Crass, Khloe and Klay Ahles; and one great-grandchild Jordan Crass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son Brian, two sisters, and one brother.

A memorial service for Virginia “Ginny” Ahles will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Krueger Family Funeral Home, 101 N. 2nd St. in Tomahawk.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the services at 11 a.m.
