Vern C.
Monson, 72, of the town of West Bend died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at his
residence. He was born April 1, 1939 in Trempealeau to Chester and Lucille
(nee Foss) Monson and married Lynette Bissonette in Aug. 21, 1976 in
Milwaukee.
Vern worked for Wisconsin Finance which became numerous other companies
including Heights Finance, Avco, USA Financial and Citi Corp, retiring in
1999. He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing.
He was a member of the Daniel Boone Conservation League, Ducks Unlimited
and the National Model Railroaders Association.
Vern is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lynette; two children, William
(Tina) of Wisconsin Rapids and Jane (Ken) Daw of Hartford; and six
grandchildren, Dakota, Allison, Sydney, Rebecca, Steven and Caroline. He
is further survived by his mother Lucille Monson of Trempealeau; a
brother-in-law, Mike (Amy) Bissonette; three nieces, Jodi, Abby and
Ashley; and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Chester and his son Robert.
A celebration of Vern's life will take place Saturday, July 23, 2011, from
11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Daniel Boone Conservation League Clubhouse,
4694 Highway 167, Hubertus, WI 53033. Memorials to Ducks Unlimited and
Trap and Field are appreciated.
