Howard R. ‘Howie’ Brandt
Howard
R. "Howie" Brandt died on July 11, 2011, at Mayo Clinic Health
System in Menomonie at the age of 64.
Howie was born in Cedarburg on July 30, 1947, the son of the late Walter
and Rose (nee Flok) Brandt. Howie was employed at Mercury Marine for more
than 25 years. He also worked at Milwaukee County Stadium and the Buddy
Schmidt Produce Stand. Howie managed his own hobby farm and also worked at
Walmart in Menomonie.
Howie enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, riding his Harleys and, most of
all, he loved his kids. Howie also volunteered at the Ozaukee County Fair
working as a field judge during the Demolition Derby. Howie was also a
past president of the Ozaukee Guzzlers.
Howie is survived by his daughters, Rachel (Adam) Mikyska of West Bend and
Elizabeth Brandt of Random Lake; his grandsons, Gavin and Donovan Mikyska
and Diego Brandt; his brothers, Wally Brandt of Glendale, Ariz., Irv
(Arlene) Brandt of Cedarburg, Bill (Diane) Brandt of Cedarburg, Roger
(Katie) Brandt of Algoma and Raymond (Kathy) Brandt of Cedarburg. Howie is
further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Howie was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalyn.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2011, at 7 p.m. at
Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg. The Rev. Kris Ertl will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
