Arthur ‘Art’ E. Goll of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the age of 88 years.

Art was born on March 10, 1923, in Milwaukee. He married Harriet D. Voigt on Feb. 16, 1944, at David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Art was a supervisor for the town of Jackson for 24 years and also worked for the town of Jackson for 14 years; however, Art’s true passions were farming and gardening. He also dedicated many years as a volunteer for Jackson Senior Center.

Art is survived by his children, Dianne (Carl) Miller of Cedarburg, Gene (Sandy) of West Bend, Gary (Marilyn) of Jackson and John (Debbie) of Jackson; grandchildren, Stanley (Sherry) Miller, Maureen Demler, Melody (John) Wagie, Kim (Scott) Bubnik, Brian (Vanessa) Goll, Megan Goll and Cody Goll; and great-grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Tiffany Miller, Zachary Demler, Makayla Demler, Laurianna Demler, Carmen Wagie and Hazel Wagie. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Marcella (Vernon) Schultz, and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Art is preceded in death by his wife Harriet and great-grandson Justin Miller.

A funeral service for Art will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011, at David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2740 David’s Star Drive, Jackson with Rev. Michael A. Woldt, Rev. Kurt Loescher and Rev. Martin P. Jahnke presiding. Visitation will be at the church only from 3 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011. Interment will follow service at David’s Star Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to David’s Star Evangelical Lutheran Church.
