Charles ‘Chuck’ Arand, 77
Charles
"Chuck" W. Arand passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at the
age of 77 years.
Chuck was born June 3, 1934 in Galena, Ill. to John and Eleanore (nee
Wilson) Arand. He graduated from Rockford West High School in 1953 and
attended Rockford College.
On June 23, 1956, he married Lorna Schoenfeld. They moved to Texas, where
he served in the Air Force. When they returned to Wisconsin, he attended
mortuary school in Milwaukee. He was a devoted Christian and actively
involved in church and Bible studies. Chuck was a past president and
longtime member of the West Bend Lions Club. He loved painting, traveling,
fishing, hunting, camping with his sisters, and was an avid Green Bay
Packers fan. Chuck truly enjoyed spending time with his family and was
incredibly proud of all of them.
Chuck was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Lorna and by his children Chuck and Betty Arand
with their children Ben and Becky; Steve and Jeannie Arand with their
children Brett and Carley, Julie and Mike Chirchirillo with their children
Paul and Lauren, and Shari and Mark Goeden with their son Andrew and his
wife Amanda. He is further survived by his sisters Joyce and Harold Munson
and Jan and Jim Quinn, and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and
dear friends.
A memorial service for Chuck will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 21,
2011, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church-Main Street location,
820 S. Main St. in West Bend with the Rev. Jeff Dorth presiding.
Visitation will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20,
2011 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West
Bend and additional visitation will be on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at St.
John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church-Main Street location from 9:30 a.m.
to 10 a.m. Interment of cremains will take place following the service at
Washington County Memorial Park.
