Erich Lehmann, 68, of Hubertus, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, July 23, 2011, surrounded by his family.
He was born on Feb. 26, 1943, to Hans Lehmann and Theresa (nee Lemly). He married Geri (nee Becker) on May 16, 1964, in Wisconsin.
Erich retired from Briggs and Stratton as an industrial electrician in 1995. After retirement, he founded Fabrite Automation. Erich was in-innovative and creative. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, his Harley-Davidson, and traveling with his neighbors. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Erich is survived by his loving wife Geri; children Carolyn (Mike) Balthazor, Michael (Diane) Lehmann, Susie (Larry) Schmitt, and Stevie (Kelli) Lehmann; grandchildren Brittany, Mackenzy, Katie, Alison, Nichole, Stephanie, and Abrianna; sister Rosemarie (Milt) Piontkowski and brother Paul (Carole) Lehmann. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian burial for Erich will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 1200 St. Gabriel's Way in Hubertus with the Rev. Mike Sturm presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday, July 28 from 3 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will take place at St. Hubert Catholic Cemetery on Friday, July 29, at 10 a.m.
He will be greatly missed for his expansive misuse of the English language, his sense of humor, and his endless curiosity. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Kim, his Goddaughter and hospice nurse and his loving and caring neighbors.
