James A. Beimborn, 66

James A. Beimborn of Port Washington passed away on Saturday, July 
23, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.  He was 66 years old.
Jim was born in Port Washington on June 4, 1945, the son of Alex and 
Erna Anschuetz Beimborn.  He grew up in Port Washington and attended 
Port Washington High School, where he was an active basketball 
player, graduating  in 1963.

After graduating from high school, Jim continued to play basketball 
with the Port Washington Lakers. He also started working for Ozaukee 
County as an equipment operator, retiring after over 35 years of 
service. Jim was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, a 
charter member of the Snow Runners Snowmobile Club, and also the 
McDonald’s Coffee Club.

He loved riding his motorcycle, currently a blue Honda Gold Wing, and 
traveled extensively on his motorcycle, visiting every state. Jim 
also enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan and in Canada, snowmobiling and 
watching his niece and nephews compete in sports.

Jim is survived by his brother, Rich of Port Washington; and his 
sister, Delores (Dennis) Rickard of Cedarburg. He is further survived 
by his niece, Erin; nephews, Alex (Carrie), Zac and Will Rickard; his 
great-niece, Aubrey; his great-nephew, Mason; and four aunts, Elsa 
Egerer of Cedarburg, Annie Hardt of Jackson, Lucille Matter of 
Cedarburg and Rosalie Beimborn-Westphal of West Bend; other relatives 
and many, many friends.

Funeral services will be held today, July 28, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul 
Lutheran Church in Grafton with the Rev. Kenton Wendorf officiating. 
Burial will take place in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation 
will be held today, July 28,  at the church from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
