Margaret ‘Peggy’ Danecki, 83
Margaret E. "Peggy" Danecki (nee
Stratton), 83, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011, at the
Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.
She was born Jan. 9, 1928, in Tekonsha, Mich., to the late John and Anna
(nee Williams) Stratton. On May 25, 1946, she was united in marriage to
Casimer "Dan" Danecki in Kalamazoo, Mich. Dan preceded her in
death on May 26, 1978.
Peggy was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend, and the
Dorcas Society. She loved big band and country music, especially Perry
Como and Alan Jackson. She was an avid reader and loved playing Bingo and
going to the Oneida Casino and Las Vegas.
She is survived by her five children, Veronica (Walter) Brown, Charlene
(Larry) Hall, Deborah (Dennis) Wilke, Craig (Mary) Danecki and Curtis
Danecki Sr.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;
a brother, John "Jack" Stratton Jr.; a sister, Barbara Crumbaugh;
special friends, Dick and Betty Doede and Mary Jahnke; and other relatives
and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dan; a brother,
Charles Stratton; five sisters, Ruth (George) DeBolt, Mary (Charles)
Granger, Eleanore (Howard) Howe, Carrie Stratton and Alice Blodget; and a
special friend, Al Vogt.
Funeral services in remembrance of Peggy will be held on Thursday, June 9,
at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. 7th Ave., West Bend, with
the Rev. David Schoob officiating. Visitation will be at the church on
Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at
Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin at 2:30 p.m.
