Harriet C. Krueger, 100

Harriet C. Krueger (nee) Whitney, 100, of Jefferson, formerly of West Bend, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Sylvan Crossings Residential Care Facility. She was born on Feb. 11, 1911 in Milwaukee to the late Reuben and Elizabeth (nee Klockenbush) Whitney.

On Feb. 11, 1929, she was united in marriage to George F. Krueger at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. The couple then settled in West Bend.

In 1942, she became employed at the West Bend Company. She worked in a test kitchen, and at the time of her retirement on April 25, 1973, she worked in the office.

She was a member of the Christian Women’s Confraternity at Holy Angels Parish and the 25 Year Club at the West Bend Company.

Survivors include daughter-in-law Doris (nee Runke) Krueger; five grandchildren Charles (Joan) of Freeport, Ill., Steve (Pat) of Cottage Grove, Kim of Loves Park, Ill., Ann of Fort Atkinson and Paul (Marcia) of Fort Atkinson; eight great-grandchildren Barbara, Karla, Rhonda, Charles II, Stephanie, Nicole, Alex and Rachel.

In addition to the her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George on Aug. 8, 1994, and her sons Robert (Audrey), and Jerry Krueger.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church only on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Masses or memorials are appreciated.
