Eunice Miller, 89

Mrs. Eunice Miller, 89, of Grafton, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Serenity Home in Grafton where she has resided for the past year.

She was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Frieda Dankert Leifer. On Aug. 21, 1949, she married Kenric Miller at St. Marcus Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Eunice is survived by her son, Roger (Jane) Miller of Cedarburg; four grandchildren, Matthew (Michale) Miller of Madison, Amanda (Tom Wagner) Miller of Washington, D.C., Elisabeth (Tim) Ripple of Madison, and David (fiancée Meghan Gold) Miller of Milwaukee; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers, Edwin, Kermit and Donald Leifer.

Eunice was a former member of Lake Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and Grace Lutheran Church in Grafton, where she had been active in choir and other church groups. She was currently a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

Eunice enjoyed embroidery, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and playing bingo and card games.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 12, at 4 p.m. at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, with the Rev. Kris Ertl officiating. Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Milwaukee. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, are appreciated.
