James ‘Jim’ Amundson, 66
James "Jim" Roy Amundson, 66, of West Bend, passed away on May 19, 2011, at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.
Jim was born on Nov. 30, 1944, in La Crosse to Clayton "Stubby" and Mae (nee Nemetz) Amundson. Jim graduated from Holmen High School in 1962. On Aug. 13, 1982, he married Kathryn Youngworth. He worked at A.O. Smith in Milwaukee for 36 years. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends, and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR races, and wrestling.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Kathryn; daughter Wendy (Alvin) Anderson; son Timothy (Michelle) Amundson; mother Mae Amundson; sister Betty (Loren) Black; grandchildren Holly (Bill) Butterfield, Emily Anderson, Dylan and Skylin Amundson; great-granddaughter Addyson Butterfield; niece Amy (Keith) Kranz and family; nephew Troy (Alida) Black and family; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Clayton "Stubby" Amundson and infant son Clayton Edward Amundson.
Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., in West Bend with the Rev. Matt Hadley presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12 until 12:45 p.m.
