Robert R. Marx, 74

Robert R. Marx, 74, of West Bend died on Monday, June 6, 2011, at his home. He was born on July 16, 1936, in Milwaukee to the late Raymond and Verene (nee Fellenz) Marx. The family was raised in the Bayview area of Milwaukee. He attended St. Augustine grade school and went on to graduate from Marquette High School. He then went to St. Norbert's College and earned his bachelor's degree.

Bob enlisted into the United States Army. Being stationed at Ft. Lewis, he served with the 32nd Infantry Division.

Following his discharge, he settled in Washington State. He became employed as an engineer with Boeing, and also worked in the banking industry.

An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing the game with a group of friends that met at college. He also would get together with family and watch football and baseball.

In addition to his kind and humble spirit, Bob was a generous man. He contributed to children's causes throughout the world.

Survivors include two children Daryl and Dayne, both of Washington State; two grandchildren Brittney and Michael; two brothers Michael M. (Gail) of West Bend and Richard E. (Katherine) of San Diego; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sybil (nee Orlander).

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with burial following in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church only on Saturday from 10 until 10:45 a.m.
