Rose A. Prinz (nee McGucken), 95 of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee went to God's Loving Embrace, June 9, 2011, at her home where she resided with her daughter and son in-law.
Rose was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Milwaukee to the late Robert M. McGucken and Cora M. McGucken (nee Havlisch). On Aug. 24, 1938 Rose married Charles N. Prinz Sr. in Dubuque, Iowa.
Rose was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was being needed. Rose enjoyed and was very talented at baking and sewing. She has passed a Christmas cookie baking tradition down to many of us.
Rose is survived by her six children: Charles Jr. (Diane) of Jackson, Sally of West Allis, Bill of Lan,caster, Calif., Bob (Lauri) of Milwaukee, Marge (Dave) Clementi of West Bend, and John (Theresa) Of Chicago, Ill. Rose and Charles also raised four grandchildren: Chris (Mike) DeVillers of Menomonee Falls, Jim Jr. of Appleton, Jean Prinz-Kjell of Newburg, and Dan of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by 19 additional grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, two greatg reat-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Awaiting Rose in heaven were her loving husband Charles, her son Jim Sr., Judy his wife, her brothers, sister and sisters-in-law: John (Harriet) McGucken, Bob (Hortense) McGucken and Marge McGucken, and Jane Bowman, nieces Sharon Balboa, and Kathy Burns, and great-niece Amy Notaney.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14 at 6 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend with private inurnment at Washington County Park. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. Masses or memorials are appreciated.
