Mary Lou Johnson, 76

Mary Lou Johnson (nee Lubkeman), 76, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011.

She was born on Dec. 19, 1934, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to August and Minnie (nee Schroeder) Lubkeman.

She retired in 2007 from the Washington County Mental Health Center after working for the county for 33 years. In addition, others may remember her as their favorite waitress at The Whitetail Inn (formerly White Cedar Inn) where she worked for many years.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Brent (Denise) Johnson of Slinger, Maria (Bill) McMartin of Burlington and Monica (Bill) Karol of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Luke, Jordan and Grace Johnson, Sam and Hannah McMartin and Chloe and Max Karol. She is further survived by her brother, August (June) Lubkeman of Bloomington, Ill.; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, August and Minnie Lubkeman; and her brother, Bill Lubkeman.

A funeral service for Mary Lou will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Dr. in West Bend, with the Rev. Tim Hull presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home only on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. Private interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Slinger.
