Theresa Daddato, 94
Mrs. Theresa Daddato passed away at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburgon Wednesday morning, June 22, 2011. She was 94 years old. Theresa was born in Racine on June 19, 1917, the daughter of Girolamo and Phyllis Mayo Giovinazzo. After her schooling, Theresa was united in marriage with Matteo V. Daddato on Dec. 14, 1935, in Milwaukee.
The couple settled on the north side of Milwaukee. Matteo precededher in death in 1981. Theresa moved to Dacada in 1995 and later to Lasata in 1998.
Theresa worked as a volunteer during World War II rolling bandagesand handling other medical supplies. She was a loving mother and a good homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and baking her famous apple pies. She was a very Christian woman who liked watching church services on television, listening to music and reading the Bible.
Theresa is survived by her five children, Antoinette (the lateJoseph) Rosienski of Racine, Carl (the late Carrie) Daddato of Oak Creek, Jerome (Kathleen) Daddato of Dacada, Dominic (Patricia) Daddato of Post Falls, Idaho, and Matteo (Robin) Daddato of Waukesha.
She is further survived by 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her sister, Rose (Wilson) Walker of Orange, Calif.;nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matteo; her daughter, MaryEpright, and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 24, at thechapel at Lasata Care Center, W76 N677 Wauwatosa Road, Cedarburg.
Father Jim Ernster officiated the service. She was laid to restbeside her husband at Forest Hill Cemetery in Oak Creek. The family received visitors at Lasata Chapel from noon until 1:30 p.m.
The Eernisse Funeral Home has assisted the family with arrangements.
