Robert W. Becker, 87, of West Bend passed away on Sunday June 26, 2011 at Samaritan Health Care.

Robert was born on May 9, 1924, in Jackson to Oscar and Viola (nee Krueger) on the family farm where he was raised. On July 21, 1945, Robert married LaVerne Weber at St. John’s Lutheran Church in West Bend. After marriage, the couple lived in the West Bend area and Robert worked in the construction and lumber business for many years. He was employed at Embassy Condominiums for many years doing maintenance. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife LaVerne, children Sandee (Jim) Frederickson of Rogers, Minn., Carol (David) Petersen of Waunakee, Larry (Holly) Beck-er of Menomonee Falls, Kathy (Larry) Leaman of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Mary (Russ) Hetebrueg of West Bend. He is further survived by his grandchildren Eric (Raymie) Frederickson and Marc (Becky) Frederickson, Trey (Shelly)Sprinkman and Shellie (John) Lossman, Ross and Brent Becker, Stephanie (Yvan) Houareau, Jessica and Craig Leaman, Sara (Daniel) Jimenez, Leah and Andy (Britni) Hetebrueg, 16 great-grandchildren, sister Arlene Schneider, brother Armand (Shirley) Becker, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Allen and LeRoy, sister Dorothy and brother-in-law Robert Smith, Calvin Schneider, sisters-in-law Margaret Becker and Mary Becker.

A funeral service for Robert will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. 7th Ave., West Bend, with Pastor David Schoob presiding. Interment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at the church only on Friday, July 1, from 9 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Samaritan Health Care Center Staff Activity Fund or Trinity Lutheran Church.
