Marylyn Ann ‘Petey’ Bross

Marylyn Ann "Petey" Bross, 78, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, March 3, after a valiant fight against cancer, surrounded by her family, at her home.

   She was born Sept. 7, 1932, in West Allis, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (nee Wiese) Bross. Marylyn was an excellent student, a talented artist and a self-proclaimed tomboy. Marylyn was very thrifty, an avid gardener and a voracious reader who was always on a quest for the truth. She lived every moment with a smile on her face.

She is survived by her children, Donald Kelnhofer of Campbellsport, Patrick (Betsy) Kelnhofer of Wauwatosa, Karen (Rudy) Custer of Merton, Mark (Lori) Kelnhofer of Grand Marsh, Kevin (Joan) Kelnhofer of Mequon, Terri (Ned) Torti of Menomonee Falls and Peter (Mary) Kelnhofer of North Carolina; her sister, Jeanne (Joe) Kovacich of West Allis; brothers, Dean (Sandy) Bross of Arizona, Gary (Sheila) Bross of Arizona; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many cousins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Marylyn is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Beverly (Joe) Felten.

Family will greet relatives and friends Monday, March 7, from 12:30 p.m. 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of St. Therese at the Basilica of Holy Hill. Memorial Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel. The Rev. Cyril Guise will officiate. Interment St. Augustine Cemetery.
