Virginia ‘Ginny’ Finke, 82
Virginia “Ginny” Finke (nee Coulter),
82, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, after a
courageous 10-year battle with cancer.
Ginny was born on Oct. 17, 1928, in Peoria, Ill., to the late John and
Ethel (nee Plack) Coulter. She graduated from Manual High School in
Peoria. On Jan. 1, 1952, she married Donald E. Finke at Trinity Lutheran
Church in Peoria. The couple moved to Wisconsin in 1952 and then to West
Bend in 1953. Ginny worked for the West Bend Co. in customer service and
accounts receivable department. She celebrated 25 years of service to the
company on Feb. 27, 1987, and retired in December 1987. Ginny was an
incredible wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed
spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and will be
dearly missed by all who knew her.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Donald “Don” Finke; three sons,
Richard (Cathy) Finke of Waukesha, Michael (Lajeanne) Finke of DeForest
and Terry Finke of West Bend; grandchildren, Eryn and Maxwell Finke,
Ashley and Heather Finke, and Jeremy Finke; and great-grandchild, Braelyn
Finke. She is further survived by her siblings, Bernice Grauer, Melvin
(Norma) Coulter and Delores Kranz; sister-in-law, Dorothy Coulter and
Yvonne Coulter; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Ginny is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Elmer Coulter, Reuben
Coulter, Clifford Coulter, and Evelyn Woosley; and brothers-in-law, Leo
Grauer, Arnold Kranz and Elmo Woosley.
A memorial service for Ginny will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, at
the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend.
Gathering time will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Inurnment to
take place at Washington County Memorial Park. Memorials to Our Savior
Church or the American Cancer Fund.
