James A. Gertsch

James A. Gertsch (LURCH MC), 65, died March 21, 2011.

He was born April 7, 1945.

Jim was a member of the NRA, enjoyed motorcycles, NASCAR, cutting wood and his boys Harley and Franklin (his cats). Jim worked as a cement mason for many years and he also owned a motorcycle repair shop, "THE SHOP."

He is survived by his fiancˇe, Molly Zimmerman; five daughters, Tammy (Mark) Fitzgerald, Jessie (Russ) Bartley, Bobbie Jo (Shawn) Wren, Bridget (Troy) Erickson and Jamie Lyn Gertsch; sisters, Patsy (Bob) Marohl, Pamela Weber, Nancy (Butch) Kueffer, Carolyn (Mark) Gallert, Cheryl (Mike) Sonneberg, Donna (Joe) Mickle, Rhonda (Carey) Fiske and Kathy (Ken) Yager; brothers, Gary Weber, Richard (Bea) Huebner, Daniel (Linda) Huebner, David (Penny) Huebner, Charles (Deb) Huebner, Roger Huebner and Steven (Ann) Huebner. He is further survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Weber (nee Gertsch); father, David Huebner; grandparents, Emil and Melvina Gertsch; brothers, Lynn Weber and Lee Weber Jr.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 27, at Classics on Franklin Drive in Hartford from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
