Edith M. Wolfgang, 84
 

Edith M. Wolfgang, of Mequon, passed away peacefully surrounded by
her loving family at the Horizon Hospice in Mequon on March 26, 2011,
at the age of 84.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011, at 5 p.m. at
Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church, 110 Division St. in Thiensville. The
family will receive friends prior to the funeral service, on Friday,
at the church, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Rev. Donald Scheuerlein will
officiate the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church are
appreciated.

Edith was born on Nov. 9, 1926, in Rice Lake, the daughter of Everett
Kewin and Mathilda (nee Rosenthal) Kewin. She later married Virgil
Wolfgang in Augusta, Wis., on Nov. 4, 1945. Their marriage was
blessed with three children.

Edith is survived by her beloved husband, Virgil Wolfgang of Mequon;
children, Judy (the late Jim) Thierfelder of Jackson, Mary (Alan)
Herauf of Jackson, and William (the late Rosie) Wolfgang of Juneau;
grandchildren, Michelle (Dr. Mark) Rhyner, Jeff (Sharon) Thierfelder,
Julie (Brian) Passig, Jenell (Jason) Enright, Jodie Thierfelder and
Jamie Thierfelder; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hailey and Allyson
Rhyner, Jared and Carissa Thierfelder, Emma, Amber and Olivia Passig
and Ranen and Hadley Enright; and brother-in-law, Gordon Wolfgang.

She is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and seven
brothers.

A special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Maehl, the staff at Golden Living
Center-Bradley, Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital, and Horizon
Hospice for all of their care and compassion.

Our mother, grandmother, and friend – thank you for your love, wit
