Helen B. Krebs, 90
Helen B. Krebs (nee Beder), 90, of West
Bend, formerly of St. Lawrence, was embraced by God’s loving arms on
Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at River Way Place.
She was born May 1, 192,1 in the town of Polk to Anton and Mathilda (nee
Hassinger) Beder. Helen was united in marriage to Eugene Krebs on Oct. 3,
1942, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Slinger. He preceded her in death on
Aug. 13, 1992.
She worked as a cook for many years at the Little Red Inn and Little
Switzerland Ski Hill. Helen enjoyed playing bingo and sheepshead with her
friends at River Way, and enjoyed the company of her special kitty, Mitzie.
She was a 69-year member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann (Richard) Theusch of Wayne,
Joyce (David) Felix of West Bend, Beverly (Steven) Rippl of Mequon and
Sandra (Kenneth) Andrich of Plover; 15 grandchildren; 24
great-grandchildren; her sisters-inlaw, Joyce Beder of Slinger, Rita Beder
of Jackson, Bernice Krebs of Hartford, Margaret Krebs of West Bend,
Loretta Noegel of Hartford, Annette Krebs and Geraldine Krebs, both of St.
Lawrence; and her brother-in-law, Harold (Gertrude) Krebs of St. Lawrence.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Krebs; her
brothers, Jacob (Lorraine) Beder, Edgar Beder and Oscar Beder; her sister-inlaw,
Beatrice (Norbert) Zangl; and her brothers-in-law, Jerome Noegel, Daniel
(Mildred) Krebs, Norbert Krebs, Lloyd Krebs and Joseph Krebs.
Mass of Christian burial for Helen will be held Friday, May 6, at 6:30
p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Family will greet relatives and
friends from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the church. Interment at St. Lawrence
Cemetery on Saturday, May 7.
