Virgil Ray Weninger, 78

Virgil Weninger, 78, of Hartford, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend.

He was born Jan. 7, 1933, in the town of Addison to Arthur and Rose (nee Gehring) Weninger. Virgil was united in marriage to Janice Fehring on June 30, 1962, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; his daughters, Karen (Paul) Fahrenkrug of West Bend, Judy (Scott) Hetherington of Baltimore, Md., and Nancy (Jim) Chervenka of Lomira; seven granddaughters, Emily and Erica Fahrenkrug, Taylor and Olivia Hetherington, Kaitlyn, Meagan and Rachel Chervenka; his brother, Orville (Mary) Weninger of Rubicon; and his sister, Janice (Howard) Gundrum of West Bend; brothers-in-law, Earl (Elaine) Fehring of Allenton and Jerome (Nancy) Fehring of Hartford; his sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Richard) Schellinger of Allenton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Allen; and two sisters in infancy, Mary and Rose.

A Mass of Christian burial for Virgil will be held Friday, May 20, at 7 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church in Allenton with the Rev. Joseph Dominic officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of the 7 p.m. Mass. Entombment will take place on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
