Albert C. ĎAlí Wagner, 88|
Albert C. "Al" Wagner, 88, of the town of Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He was born on March 16, 1923, in Campbellsport, the son of the late William and Bertha (nee Kutz) Wagner, and on Oct. 4, 1952, he was united in marriage to Lorena "Lucky" Wagner at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee.
Al proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was employed as a mechanic for Johnson School Bus and was a member of First Baptist Church in Campbellsport. Al will fondly be remembered for his gardening abilities, as he could get anything to grow.
Those Al leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Lorena Wagner; two daughters, Karen Wagner of Shoreline, Wash., and Maxine Wagner (Michael) of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by six brothers, Frank, Walter, William, Herman, Henry and Wilbert Wagner; and three sisters, Anna Ebert, Rosella Ebert and Mary Voight.
Funeral services for Al will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 20, at First Baptist Church in Campbellsport. The Rev. David Nothem will officiate and burial with military honor rites will follow in Union Cemetery in Campbellsport. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to First Baptist Church are appreciated.
