Clarence J. Spitzer Jr., 73

Clarence J. Spitzer Jr., 73, of Grafton, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011.

He was born to Clarence and Antoinette (nee Cararozzli) on Nov. 21, 1937. He graduated from Boys Tech in 1955 and served in the Air National Guard. He married Margaret (nee Gilbert) on June 27, 1964, and then began a career at Eaton Corp. (formerly Cutler Hammer) and retired in 1999. Clarence loved fishing, radio controlled airplanes, camping in the earlier years with his children, golfing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Marge; sons, Edward (Linda) of Fond du Lac and Michael of Grafton; grandchildren, Grace and Joshua; sister, Sandy Pierce of South Milwaukee; brother, Leonard (Renee) Spitzer of Jefferson; step-sisters, Marcia (David) Malone of South Milwaukee, Laura Appel of California, Theresa (William) Wagner of Delavan; sisters-in-law, Jean Gilbert of DePere, Doris (Danny) Becker of Kiel, Betty Conard of Green Bay and Carol Yehle of North Carolina; brothers-in-law, William Gilbert of Cedarburg and Donald (Clarice) Gilbert of Milwaukee. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Clarence is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kayla; step-father, Robert Monrean; brothers in-law, Harry Gilbert, Dale Yehle and Victor Conard; and a step-sister, Jackie Tupper.

Private services were held.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.
