Dorothy A. Zimdars (nee Baasch), 87, of West Bend, passed away at home on Thursday, May 19, 2011.

She was born on July, 28, 1923, in Saukville to the late Joseph and Louise (nee Ponath) Baasch. She married Gerald Zimdars on Feb. 10, 1945.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Geraldine Hopper of Van Vleck, Texas, Gerhard (Julie) Zimdars of West Bend, Grace (James) Priest of Beaumont, Texas, Germaine (Jim) London of Beaumont, Texas, Gene (Sandy) of Kewaskum; eight grandchildren, Jesse Zimdars, Dawn (Justin) Hjorth, Barry, Sam, Amanda, and Rachel Zimdars; four great-grandchildren, Luke, Trey, Taylor and Hannah; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Adeline Haug of West Bend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; son, Glenn; and grandchildren, Todd and Donny Baker.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend, 1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m., also at the funeral home. Memorials to the family would be appreciated. Inurnment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park.
