Judith A. Elflein, 66

Judith A. Elflein passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee at the age of 66. Judy was born in Milwaukee on April 16, 1945, to Jacob and Helen (nee Hess) Fuchs and married Eugene Elflein on May 16, 1970, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay.

Judy is survived by her husband, Eugene of Cedarburg; children, Christopher (Holly) of Sulphur, Okla., Melissa of Cedarburg, Joshua of Cedarburg, Andrew of Milwaukee, Sara of Cedarburg, Nicolas of Cedarburg, Brian (Sarah) of Wauwatosa, Courtney (Gary) Gawryleski of Menomonee Falls and Megan of Port Washington; grandchildren, Arianna, Caleb, Ophelia, Aiden, Isabelle, Micah, Harley, Sophia, Owen and Cohen; brothers, Gerald (Margo) Fuchs of Glendale, Gordon (JoAnne) Fuchs of Kettering, Ohio, and Daniel (Judith) Fuchs of Thiensville; sisters, Janice (Bob) Downey of Mequon and Mary (George) Fischer of Suamico. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at noon at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church North, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg. Inurnment will be held at the church cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for Donate Life are appreciated.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the abdominal transplant team and the entire staff in the surgical ICU at St. Luke’s Medical Center for all of your compassion and excellent care.
