Michael J. Norton

Michael J. Norton, 48, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at The Kathy Hospice. He was born on Oct. 8, 1963 to Daniel and Judith (nee Schoch) Norton. He was raised in West Bend and graduated from West Bend West High School Class, of 1982. He was employed at Winkler Mechanical for many years, followed by Sheet Metal Services and was a member of Sheet Metal Local 18 Union. Mike enjoyed cooking and grilling out, small engine repair work, and spending time up north. He and his children were passionate about Motocross. Above all, he loved spending time with his children.

He is survived by his father, Daniel; son, Ryan; daughter, Shelly (special friend, Brock) Norton; former wife and dear friend, Elaine (nee Dorzok) Norton; siblings, Loretta "Lorey" (Larry) Weston, Daniel D. "Danny" (Beth) Norton, Elaine (Jeff) Wimberly, and Joanne (Rob) Richison. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Judith; and daughter, Angela.

The funeral service for Mike was scheduled for Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend) with Pastor Sharon Stier presiding. The visitation was at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Interment of cremains will take place at Washington County Memorial Park on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
