Emma H. P. Kressin Emma H. P. Kressin (nee Nierode), 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday Oct. 30, 2011 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg. Emma Helena Pauline Nierode was born to the late Edward and Gertrude (nee Schoessow) Nierode on March 24, 1916 in Freistadt and married the late Harold Kressin on April 24, 1937 at Trinity Lutheran Church West Mequon. Emma and Harold lived their entire married life on the homestead farm on Pioneer Road in Jackson. Emma continued to live there after Harold’s death until health limitations brought her to Lasata Care Center in January of 2010. Emma was a member of David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church since her marriage to Harold. There she was a member of the Ladies Aid and a school bus driver for the Riteway Bus Co. for many years. Primarily a farmer’s wife, Emma was known for her love of flowers and her many beautiful flower beds on the farm. Her other great talent was her sewing and her "fancy" work of all types but especially her embroidery work. Her final months found her to be quite the sports fan; she watched sport of all types but especially loved watching golf and football. She is survived by her daughter Eileen (Deane) Stuever of Norman, Okla., daughter-in-law Janice Kressin of Jackson, grandchildren; Debbie (Darrin) Wear and Shawn (Charity) Stuever all of Washington, Okla., great grandchildren; Kati (Neil) Howel, Courtney, Kelsey, Shelby, Tyler and Trevor Stuever of Washington, Okla. and a host of nieces, nephews scattered across various states and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, sons; Dennis and Dale, daughters Carol and infant Kressin, sisters; Dorothy and Gertrude, brother Walter, sister-inlaws Gerri, Gertrude, Hilda, Viola and Florence, brother-in-laws Herb, Lester, Clarence, Ort and Ervin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 at 1 p.m. at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church 2470 David’s Star Drive, Jackson. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be given to David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church, The Kettle Moraine High School Building Fund or the donor’s choice. "To God Be The Glory."
