Joanne M. Habersetzer

Joanne M. Habersetzer (nee Yogerst), 69, passed away on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at her home. She was born in Kohlsville on Feb. 18, 1942 to Felix and Margaret (nee Janzer). She graduated from Kewaskum High School Class of 1960. She married Nicholas Habersetzer on July 30, 1960 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. She loved doing crafts, traveling, fishing, painting, doing word search puzzles, and volunteered at assorted functions. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Cooties, VFW Post 1393 Women’s Auxiliary, VFW Card Club, St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and ran the church French fry stand. She was the number one seller of VFW Poppies at store fronts.

She is survived by her husband, Nicholas; children, Jeffrey (Beth) of West Bend and Sandra (James) Tieglman of Beloit; six grandchildren, Stephanie Miller of Sheboygan, Heather (Jonas) Moench of Janesville, Nicholas, Jonathan, Veronica, and Annmarie Habersetzer of West Bend; great-grandson, Alex Ugarte of Sheboygan; sister, Rosalie (Gordon) Gorecki of West Bend; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Habersetzer, Lorraine (Arthur) Albers of Grafton, Marie Pauls of Lone Rock; brothers-in-law, Robert (Geraine) Habersetzer of Tennessee, and Edward (Virginia) Habersetzer of St. Lawrence. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Joseph and Victor Habersetzer, and Robert Pauls.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Joanne will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church (406 Jefferson St., West Bend) with Fr. John Radetski presiding. The visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, Nov. 3 from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass at 7 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Peter’s Cemetery on Newark Drive in the town of Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 1393 or the St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund.
