Esther Collins, 94
Collins, 94, of Hartford, passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at Angel's
Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
Esther was born April 10, 1917, in Black River Falls to Olaf and Lena (nee
Esther attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a long-time member
of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Thompson where she had been on the
Ladies Alter Society for many years. She was a member of the Hartford
Senior Friends. Esther enjoyed baking, especially her chocolate chip
cookies, crocheting and flower gardening. She was active in T.O.P.S. for
over 30 years. Esther was a baseball fan and loved to watch the Brewers on
She is survived by her children: Allen (Darlene) Ceshker of Slinger,
Dennis (Mary) Ceshker of Mesa, Ariz. and Joyce Spinn of Milwaukee;
her step-children: Peggy (Jerry) Kenealy of Hartford and Colleen (John)
McGraw of Neosho; her daughter-in-law CC (Alan) Achterberg of Fond du Lac;
her grandchildren: Angel, Bobby, Debra, Jeanie, Tricia, Shane, Jodi,
Scott; her step-grandchildren: JJ, Jeff, Danny, Heidi, Kurt, and Kristi;
her great-grandchildren: Jaime, Payton, Jack, Hanna, Madison, Carter,
Callie, Grace, Olivia, Andrew, Cohen, Ramsey, Fletcher, Carley, Cooper,
Jacob, Kiah, Kelsey, Megan, Brian and Charolette. She is further survived
by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband Wilferd Collins, her son Gene
Ceshker, three sisters, Laura (Martin) Bystol, Lillian (Orin) Bystol and
Ona (Harley) Simonson, and two brothers Omar (Lavina) and Herman (Viola)
Mass of Christian Burial for Esther will be held on Wednesday Nov. 16,
2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Chapel in Thompson, with Father David
LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on
Tuesday Nov. 15, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford.
Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery in Doylestown.
