Loretta M. Riley, 94
Loretta M. Riley (nee Huiras), 94, of West
Bend passed away on Nov. 12, 2011 at Cedar Lake Health &
Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 27, 1917 to Peter and Susan (Calteaux) Huiras on a farm
near Fredonia. At an early age she moved with her parents to Random Lake.
On June 5, 1937 she married Melvin Riley. He preceded her in death on
March 24, 1992. They made their home in Boltonville until moving to West
Bend in 1965. She worked in downtown West Bend in retail sales for many
years, retiring from Sager’s Men’s Apparel. She enjoyed her flower
gardens, golfing and their trips to Florida during the winter
months.
Those Loretta leaves behind to cherish her memory are her daughter,
Patricia (James) Dorn of Kewaskum; her grandchildren, Tracy (Donn) Powers,
Tim (Karin) Wierman, Tari Schulte, Tony (Sue) Wierman, Tricia Crespin, Tia
Wierman, Melissa (John) Dorn Richards, Michael Dorn (special friend
Erica); 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is
further survived by her sisters-in-law, Irene Gahagen of Fond du Lac and
Doris Riley of Gainesville, Fla., nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents Loretta was preceded in death by
her daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Douglas Wierman, a grandson Todd
Wierman, one sister and three brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Loretta will be held on
Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N.
8th Ave., West Bend). The Rev. Gerald Brittain will preside and burial
will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday at
the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials to the charity of your choice are appreciated by the
family.
The family extends their appreciation to River Way Place, Cedar Lake
Health & Rehabilitation, and Cedar Hospice for their care and
kindness.
