Daniel P. Luetke, 64
Rev.
Daniel P. Luetke, 64, was welcomed by his heavenly Father to his eternal
home on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011.
Pastor Dan was born on Feb. 28, 1947 in Pigeon, Mich. to Nathanael
and Olga (nee Schroeder). He married his high school sweetheart, Priscilla
Weindorf, on June 19, 1971 in Watertown.
Upon graduating from seminary, Pastor Dan began his service to the Lord at
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Whitewater. He was then called to begin a
mission congregation at Ascension Lutheran Church in Harrisburg, Penn.
where he served for 19 years. Pastor Dan finished his ministry here in
West Bend at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
Dan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. The heavenly
Father blessed his family with a wonderful earthly father. Dan will always
be remembered for focusing on the prize Christ has won for all people.
"And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the
work of our hands for us." Psalm 90:17. He will be dearly missed by
all those who knew and loved him.
Pastor Dan is survived by his wife Priscilla; children Steven and Dalynn,
Brian and Emme, Jeff and Nicole, Bob and Amy, Dave and Rachel, Michael,
and Jon and Jackie; and grandchildren Grant, Ryan, Ava,
Jonah, Jordan, soon-arriving Isabella, Maddy, Kelly, Brayden, Natalie, and
soon arriving baby Josephitis. He isfurther survived by his siblings Lois
(Harold) Kluender, Grace (David) Stoering, Joel (Julie) Luetke, Paul (Kim)
Luetke, Ruth (Stan) Aufderheide, and Rachel (Mike) Spaude; sister-in-law
Norma (Bill) Roubik; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear
friends. Dan is preceded in death by his parents Nathanael and Olga Luetke
and brother David Luetke.
A funeral service for Pastor Dan will be at noon on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011
at Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6869 Wildwood Road,
in West Bend. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the
CHURCH ONLY on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011. Private interment will take place at
Washington County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Shepherd of the Hills
Evangelical Lutheran Church so they may continue their support of the
mission in India.
